Rudisha - The final winner in 800m world championships for men.

Rudisha captured his first world championship in the 800 metres today, running easily to the finish in the race in Daegu, South Korea. Rudisha's time of one minute 43.91 seconds was well off the world record of 1:41.01 he set last year. The time was enough to him a comfortable margin over his competitor and runner-up Abubaker Kaki of Sudan (1:44.41) and bronze medallist Yuriy Borzakovskiy of Russia (1:44.49).

Being cool and relaxed and not setting too high an expectation has enabled 22-year-old Kenyan David Rudisha to win the gold. His worry of getting an injury that was haunting him before the world championships have made Rudisha get the gold rather than the world record, a wise choice indeed!
