Sinclair wins both 800m/1500m double in Kingston

Jamaican Track and Field Championships on Day 3

Kingston, Jamaica

Saturday, 25th June 2011

Kenia Sinclair, who won the 1500m at the Supreme Ventures-sponsored Jamaican Championships, also took gold in her speciality event on the third day of the Championships at the National Stadium.

Sinclair won the slow event in 2:00.96. It was her slowest time of the season. It should be noted that Sinclair has already clocked second-fastest time this year.

She followed the lead running group during the race before overtaking the college girl Natoya Goule, who clocked a personal best 2:01.45, at the last bit of the race. She told that she came out here to win and hence she decided it is good to do whatever it takes to win and that exactly what she did. She was also praising the effort of Goule.
