Dhashman - Long-term, in one or two years time, he is aiming for a time between 1min 56sec and 1min 58sec for 800m

I knew Thangavelu when I was running in Malaysia when I was a competitive runner. At that time, M. Ramachandran was also running. I realised that Thangavelu was a gold medalist in SEA Games in the 90s, for the 3000m steeplechase.

We constantly keep meeting in between the 1990s and 1992 in races. At that time, Thangavelu fancied running in the 10km race half-marathons. We both kept winning some cash award as we were able to come in the top 4 most of the time.

Right now, his son by the name of Dhashman, a secondary 5 Normal Academic student from Regent Second School has made Thangavelu proud by coming in, not just first for 800m a few days back, but by also coming in first in 1500m in the finals of the Nationals Track and Field Championships 2013, in 1500m in a creditable time.

He has given me some answers for the interview questions that I have posed.
