Rudisha Immediate Goal is to break Wilson's 15 years old record in Zurich Samsung Diamond league plus his own record

Rudisha, 23, has not any race after London Olympics 2012. At the start of the year, Rudisha was not able to deliver much. However, over a period of time, Rudisha’s has displayed speed over the past three seasons which shows that anything is indeed possible. His immediate goal is Wilson Kipketer’s 1:41.24 meet record set 15
years ago, still the fifth-fastest performance of all-time. I don't think that Rudisha will try to lower the 1min 40sec barrier as he will be chased by three fast teenagers. Too fast outrunning could tire Rudisha at the end and this could mean losing the race. However, if the three push Rudisha all the way, going below 1min 40sec may become a possibility.
Rudisha told reporters, "try and see if it is possible" to run faster than the 1min 40.91sec he set at the London Olympics when he competes at the Weltklasse Diamond League meet. "That's what I'm looking for. This being my last race of the season, I just want to give my best," the 23-year-old Kenyan said.
Rudisha will
use training partner Sammy Tangui to pace him through the first 400m.
"The last lap I do it myself," said Rudisha, whose programme is designed by his coach, an Irish missionary based in Kenya who has come to see the race.
"After what he did in London without a pace-setter, you wonder if he really needs one," coach Colm O'Connell told reporters.
Rudisha will be chased by three fast teenagers: Olympic bronze medallist Timothy Kitum (1:42.53 PB, SB) of Kenya, Ethiopia’s World indoor champion Mohammed Aman (1:43.20 PB, SB), and another Kenyan, Leonard Kirwa Kosencha (1:43.40 PB, SB). Duane Solomon (1:42.82) of the U.S., who finished fourth in that legendary London final, is also a threat.
