Cheruiyot - Believes that a sub-14 minute is possible by next year.

Vivian Cheruiyot wins the 5000m in with a time of 14min 20.87sec

Stockholm, Sweden

Vivian Cheruiyot finally broke the Kenyan record for 5000m at the Samsung Diamond League series, on 28th July 2011. She even led her talented rivals and the race with a gap of 120 metres, which is another creditable achievement of her achievement.

However, the timing done by Vivian is still about a few seconds away from Tirunesh Dibaba's current three-year-old World record which stands at 14:11.15 and Ethiopian Meseret Defarhas who has a time of 14:12.88.

Cheruiyot is running in the World Championships in Daegu. She feels that she is going to go for the world record attempt as she has no more race to run before Daegu, in Korea. As for now, she was happy that her time is a national record and a world best. Cheruiyot also told that she is going to do something special in Daegu.

She also mentioned that her husband Moses Kiplagat is very supportive of her running performance. Also, she said that there is no change in her current manager.
