I realised that my friend Lim Thow Wee is not running in the Gold Coast Marathon 2011. He wants to run in the Army Half-Marathon and Standard Chartered Marathon 2011. Dr Ben Tan is at present running in the Gold Coast Marathon, which falls on 3rd July 2011.
Ashley and I have booked the Airline Tickets for the trip. We will leave on 27th Jun to Melbourne. We will stay 3 days at my sister's house and on the 1st of July leave Melbourne for Gold Coast. We will stay there for 3 days and be back in Singapore. My experience during the Hong Kong marathon 2011 trip on Feb showed that it is important to look after the needs of Ashley or the marathon runner so that he can concentrate on the marathon and not worry on other things.

Hence, I will be going down to assist him. By me running, it just takes a lot of my attention away on monitoring on Ashley. I would like to see that in one or two years the time for marathon going down below 2hr 30min and I feel that Ashley has the potential to do it. I have been tracking his progress and there is no doubt about it if only he keeps on training over time.
