Louis - Time to focus on triathlon races.

Louis Stauffer, has been training with us for two years doing our running, sports, games programme, and lately has been improving in his 2.4km timing and 5km timing as well. Just like his father, Christian Stauffer, Louis is very interested in triathlon. In our programme, he has been a very disciplined athlete, always willing and keen to learn new things.

Recently, he has taken part in the Singapore International Triathlon last weekend and has done well in the race.

I decided to have an interview done on him as we would like to see how our running programme has helped Louis to help his triathlon races.

An Interview With Louis Stauffer

What made you take part in this event?
Recently, I have more focused my training on the three sports. It is now the start of the season for triathlon in Singapore. It was my first race in that respect.

What your timing for this swim, run and biking?
200m Swim: 4min 14sec
12km Bike: 24min 10sec
1.5km Run: 7min 22sec

Are you happy with the timing?
Yes. I am happy with the timing. I know I need to improve my swim and transitions.

How was the event route?
It was held at East Coast Parkway. All was good.

How was the organisation of the race?
It was very well organised as it was the Singapore National Championship and there was concurrently an ITU Elite race for Asia and the ITU Asian Junior Cup.

Can you share with us in detail on the splits that took you to attain the final timing?
As expected I had a slower Swim, a good one on the bike and a strong run.

What is the next race that you will be taking part in?
It will be the Tri-Factor Triathlon early September 2014
