Drugs in sports are not good and it can be detrimental in the long run. One should take note of the habit-forming of what drugs can do. It will make a person addicted and it will enslave a person. Health will be affected in the long run and one should, in fact, look at natural ways to improve recovery etc.

In sports, drugs do in fact can reduce the recovery time but at the same time, it can affect our organs and other parts of the body etc example the liver to overwork and in the long run liver dysfunction can take place.

In a celebrity's life, one sometimes take drugs for some reasons, like boredom or depression etc. By taking drugs, one will escape boredom and depression and feel better for a few hours. However, once the effect of the drug to relieve stress vanishes, after some time or some days, the memory of great relief that the drug has given can come to the mind and create havoc. If one does not have the will to stop the drug-taking habit, the habit could continue on until you meet something negative at the end of one's life, over time. It is good to relieve stress, boredom or depression through sports like running etc.

Once a person becomes addicted, they would want to take the drug again and again and it does not stop easily. It can shorten one's lifespan or affect the health one way or the other.

My experience working with a drug addict in the past, a few years back, as I was a volunteer helper, shows that it is very hard to overcome the habit of kicking off drug-taking habit once it is formed. My advice is to not even experience taking drugs.

Like it or not, in my opinion, it is good to avoid drugs and to enjoy life through doing natural stress-relieving methods instead of becoming a slave to drugs.

I admire Jackie Chan's stand on even wanting the son to go to jail or rehab if he takes drugs. This message should go to all coaches and athletes, young and old as well. I hope that if you have read on the Yahoo news on this, you can read on Jackie Chan's stand on drugs. I am actually impressed on Jackie Chan's stand on this and hope fellow athletes do likewise to say no to drugs.

20 Aug Following Jaycee Chan's recent arrest for drug abuse, speculations have arisen as to what his father, Jackie Chan, would do.

According to Mingpao News, the actor, who was the ambassador of China's National Narcotics Control Commission Office in 2009, had once said that he hates drugs the most and that his father had warned him not to abuse drugs if he enters showbiz.

Jackie also stated that drugs will ruin an artiste's future and that he will not hesitate to send anybody to rehab if they're found abusing the substance, even if the person is his own son.
In an interview at a charity show last year, the "CZ12" star also stressed that he would never practice favouritism.

"If my son follows the wrong path and violates the law, I will call the police and send him to prison myself," said the actor at the time.

Meanwhile, Jackie, who has arrived in Beijing on 18 August, is expected to see his son soon.
