This is a true story of a man's journey from a world of self-abuse to a world of challenges and epic long-distance races. As a young man, Chan Meng Hui almost lost himself to excessive drinking and smoking. Fortunately, during his visit to China in June 1979 after he retired at the age of 49, he caught a glimpse of where his partying would lead him and decided to turn his life around.

Chan Meng Hui was once a pack-a-day smoker, but through dedication and persistence, he managed to achieve a level of fitness that allowed him to run more than 90 marathons all over the world in countries such as America, Japan, China, Mongolia and Switzerland. Even at the age of 81, he is still participating in numerous marathons.

"Run for Life" is a bold autobiography that follows Chan's travels down the road of destruction and redemption. It is a book that documents one man's passion for challenge, distance, and endurance. Avid runner Chan Meng Hui shares his amazing life story to equip readers with information on what it takes to lead a healthy life regardless of your age by encouraging readers to exercise, advocating smart eating habits and promoting positive living and thinking habits.
