Date: 17/06/2010 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) Time of the Race - 9pm Night

Karthik Jayaraman (Malacca) - Wins all three races with 3 personal best timing. Also the feat of breaking the Games Record for his favourite event, the 3000m Steeplechase.

Coach M. Ramachandran's protege Karthik breaks the Games Record with a time of 9min 20.25sec as opposed to 9min 25sec that the coach has targeted. This is a very remarkable performance by Karthik. On 14/06, he had to run the 5000m. Then, the following day, he had to run the 10000m. He ran this race clinching a gold medal. Finally, he ran the race according to his name Karthik Steeplechaser by breaking the Games Record. This also shows great potential in this gentleman as he is able to get the three gold medal within a week. It is really a phenomenal performance to my observation.
