Picture 1 - Finally, the win that Ashley Liew wanted finally materialised.

Today, 1st April, Ashley Liew took part in the MetaSprint Series: Duathlon. I will write on Ashley Liew's experience of the race in an interview form.

An Interview with Ashley Liew

How was the result?
I was 2nd Overall out of the whole race. I came in first for my age group, and in the overall Asia category, I came in first.

Pic -2  Splits of the bike and run time

How was the weather today?
It was very hot. The weather forecast was thunder and showers, so this caught all of us off guard.

How did you find the terrain?
The bike section was fast and flat. At the run, there were a couple of sharp corners at Sengkang Canal,. I would try to go faster around the corners. I faced problems in the transition area as it was very muddy.

Picture 3 - Champion trophy for the age group was motivating.

What was your target that you were going for?
To get a PB and to come in first for my age group. Coach Rameshon told me to do my best for the day, that is all.

What was your overall time?
52min 07sec

Are you happy with your time?
Yes I am happy although I could have done much faster

How was the organisation of the race as a whole?
From the past, the organising of the race by the organising committee has been good and it has since been consistent till now.

What is your next target?
The sprint triathlon on 6th May, I hope to do a good time.
