Today, I met Teng Jian Hong, 3rd in Men Open 10km SSCM 2010, at MacRitchie Reservoir and he was doing his long run. After meeting him, I went down to watch the MR25 5km time-trial, a mini-event that goes on bi-monthly, throughout the year. In the race, I saw Aldrich, Devadas and Renuka. I decided to post the result of the top 20 runners for the benefit of sports.

After the race, I met Tan Choon Ghee, the former national record holder of Singapore for the marathon.  He ran the time-trial by going for an easy run during the run. After the race, he gave me his views on the current standard of our marathon runners. I did an interview on him so that sportsmen, young and old, can benefit. I will be posting this in the next issue.

I also heard that Mok Ying Ren has been selected for the Hong Kong marathon 2011. Ashley Liew has been asked to go also but he has to foot his bill for most of the cost. I think that it is a good gesture by SAA. They should support our runners so that they can realise their potentials.
