Fauja Singh - Hope for all geriatrics

As we are having many old age people living in Singapore, the focus has changed for the government to focus on health care problems to a solution to save a country's wealth.

The government has extended the park connectors and made many facilities and infrastructure well currently to the point that the old and the going to be old has no reason to complain that they do not have any place to exercise. Right now, anywhere we can exercise. This is a good sign.

Another complaint that I have heard from people is the complaint that they are already old after 50 plus and they need to retire somewhere. I believe that these people have voluntarily aged in the mind. They should learn a lesson from Fauja Singh and draw inspiration that we are never old. However, we can age gracefully. Constantly thinking that you are old will make you old earlier.

Fauja could run 100m, 200m etc. All his category, he set world records for his age.

In the recent Toronto Marathon 16/10/2011, Fauja crossed the marathon finish line to show humanity that there is life after 100. The message here is to keep active throughout your life and we become functional. To rest and do nothing will make you less functional and make our muscles to atrophy, lose in musculature, and a have a weaker bone.

Anything is Possible.
