Fitness For Life

My believe is that fitness training must start from young and not late. The bones and muscles will become strong throughout life if we keep exercising consistently. Also, it will be a good idea to know a sound knowledge on physiology. Whether you have good cardio-fitness or not will be known by using the VO2max test. There are also other types of test which will be good to ascertain the leg strength, hand strength and test done to see the stability of the body.

Throughout my life, I have the habit to somehow get myself exercised at least an hour per day. When I was young, as little as 7 year old. I used to go to the playground by myself and use the swing for at least half and hour. Later on, I used to play game, especially soccer from 11 years old onward. At 12, I was interested in playing soccer and was averse to running. I only did once a week running.

I only picked up running when one of the runner,  Zameer Mallal beat me in running when I was a sec 2 runner. At sec 3 and 4, I started training harder and learnt to do strengthening as well as doing running training.

Besides Coaching, right now, I am a teacher in-charge of Health and Club. I teach Yoga, running for fitness, strength training, correct dieting, trekking plus many other things that is related to health. I enjoy this CCA as I also tend to see students getting very interested in Health and Fitness.

Also, it is important to note that some of the most important postures I teach in Yoga is on Headstand (Sirshashana Salamba), Shoulder Stand and Plough Stand. With this 3 exercises, one can free themselves from diseases of everyday life.  I will soon discuss the benefits of these 3 exercises soon.

The other important thing that I do is I realise that breathing done with posture exercise, will invigorate one and make one a dynamic person. One will be free from diseases.
