Today was the Cold Storage Kid's Run, held at the Meadow, Gardens By The Bay. Coach Rameshon was there and so were our young runners Aditya, Divyatta, Joanne, Idhant, Addvik and Arjun. There were other Flexifitness runners, but they had their race on a staggered time.

The kids were given stretching and then were guided by an official to the holding area. It took a long time for the runners to go into the holding area and the kids had to stand for a long time.

With staggered time, the race started from 6.40am onwards.

Divyatta, a girl from our group, ran the Speedy Orange Sprint (Girls) 1.6km race. When she ran races in the past, there were many children ahead of her. This time, she was in front of many. Hence, she was happy that she ran well.

I was able to catch the Boogey Banana Sprint (Boys) race too, for 7 to 8-year-olds. Aditya was around sixth at the 200m mark, then ran to 4th position at the last 300m. From there, Aditya sprinted and came in second for the first wave, nearly getting the first position.

Combining the first and second wave, Aditya came in fourth overall for the boys' section. Although visibly disappointed, Coach Rameshon and Mr Nitin, Aditya's father calmed him down and congratulated him on improving from last year's timing.

Kudos to Mr Nitin (Diyatta and Aditya's father) and Coach Rameshon, for the strong support given to the 2 young talents. Many others from Flexifitness also did well.

The first boy was a Japanese boy, the second was a caucasian boy, third was a Singaporean and Aditya was fourth. We were advised to wait for a day or two for the results to come out, which will be available online soon.

The Coach Rameshon was very happy with the result of the Flexifitness runners. He was only interested in the improvement of our children and felt that results, when a child is young, is not the most important.

Coach Rameshon and I had lunch together at Telok Blangah and we parted from there.
