Boston Marathon - By God's Grace Ashley Liew is safe and sound

This is to confirm that Ashley Liew, who ran in the Boston Marathon 2013 is safe and sound. The reason for me to put this up in my blogpost is because of the messages that I am getting from people on his safety, for example, from Elliot, Helen, Sathia, Shireena and many others like Kashken Ray Hodge and so on. I hope that these compassionate people are not alarmed and worried about him.

Ashley did 2hr 44min 07sec, a creditable time, which I wanted him to do by getting himself a good conditioning 2 months before the Gold Coast marathon 2013. More will be discussed on Ashley's and my decision to run in Boston, after considering all alternatives.

The important thing is that I was touched by many people who sms-es me on Ashley's safety and they were very concerned about him.

Ashley told in his e-mail that the bomb happened hours later. When he was back home, he was feeling sick to hear that there was a bombing. His feelings are for those affected. He also told, " It could have happened after my finish." In his message, there is a point that we should be gratitude on what we have.

We hope that other fellow Singaporeans are safe as well.

Team Flexifitness would also like to offer condolences to those affected in the race.

Here is a video on the explosion of the bomb at the Boston Marathon. Let us pray that this does not happen in future marathon races.
