Kenya Trip - Ashley Liew shows commitment for SEA Games

Ashley Liew -  It is about commitment

By Saranniya
We were very happy to read about Ashley in last week's Sunday Times, dated 4th of January, 2015. We look up to him. Also, our hope is to see him run in the SEA Games in Singapore in June 2015, although we all know that it is not going to be that easy as Soh Rui Yong has already qualified with the latter's California Marathon 2014, Dec, debut. Rui Yong did a 2hr 26min 01sec.

We have heard that Mok Ying Ren is also in contention to qualify in the SEA Games as well. Mok has done a 2hr 53min and the paper mentioned that he has recovered from his injury and is about to run in the upcoming Tokyo Marathon 2015. I realised that things will not be that easy for Ashley and wish him all the best for running in the SEA Games.

Nevertheless, it is good to hear that Ashley is ranked second for the marathon in year 2014 from Coach Rameshon and the news that I have read from the Sunday Times. Coach Rameshon is also happy that Mr Lim Thow Wee has qualified for the Asian Marathon Championships on 25th Jan 2015. Team Flexifitness runners are in merry mood because of this.

I read in detail in Sunday Times on how he trained and improved in Kenya, recently, and was amazed.

Once having read the article, I felt that Ashley has made some sacrifices to do this, in terms of paying his own $6000 to do this stint in Kenya. We are all happy for him.

There some photos taken in Kenya and all the photos look beautiful. Once such photo that he took is here. I hope that you enjoy seeing the photo.
